ARRIVAL IN U.S.A. and Vivi's Korean Blog
Vivi and I arrived in Rochester, NY on a windy Saturday night... 15 minutes early! The trip was almost 24 hours worth of traveling, everything included. We were greeted by the Gorski twins, Betty and Barbara... my mother and aunt. Joe, my dad, transported us and all of our over 140 kilos of luggage back to the house on Delray Rd. We plan to stay thru Easter, visiting family and friends in the area, while planning next month's New Mexico wedding. Then on to Cincinnati to hang with sister Cat and brother Aaron.

Thanks to everyone from Seoul to Rochester who made this trip possible.

Coming to America
Travel News Bulletin : Arriving April 4, 2009 in Rochester, New York... U . S . A . !!!
...and I added some more recent photos that you can watch in the (above) slideshow. If you click on the photos it takes you to the "flickr" website where you can read the titles and view nearly a thousand photos from my last two years in South Korea. None of them would have been possible without the spectacular "Vivi" Park Soyeon.

Interview at the Embassy
Good News! Our trip to the U.S. Embassy in Seoul was a success. Vivi now has the K-1 visa in hand. Which means that we'll be purchasing airline tickets, arriving in Rochester, NY during the first week in April. Vivi and I will mostly be adjusting to Eastern U.S. time (14 hours difference), and (reverse)culture shock for a few days, at the Gallo house. There's still plenty of arrangements to make for a welcome back to U.S.A. & wedding shower party. I'll be contacting folks by email to get details about addresses to send out invitations for the big day...
May 17, 2009 that's in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is a location for the ceremony, but we don't have details about accommodations, yet.
For April... Easter weekend seems like the perfect time for a family get together. I'm assuming that there's probably already a location for this already. A bicycle tour of Rochester parks is in order, so I guess we'll need to borrow a few.
Let's hope that Rochester weather will be cooperative as usual.
We are currently collecting souvenirs to bring to the U.S., as gifts, so if you have any requests please let us know. If you're wondering what to give, consider wine. Vivi's favorite is Blue Nun Merlot, but I know we can do better than that.

Vivi and Peter winter over
For me this year has so far been action-packed and filled with plenty of comedy and drama. For Vivi I think it's been mostly a lot of long hard hours at work, only to finally rush home and join whatever adventure that I've gotten myself into.
Here are some photos of us spending precious little time together.
